This page explains, in plain words, what Hotleads collects, what we do with it and what we don't. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@hotleads.cx.

What we collect about you

  • Your account: your email address, your name, and a hash of your password. We never store your password itself.
  • What you add: the notes you write, the statuses you set and any contact details you choose to save against a lead.
  • How you use Hotleads: basic usage such as when you sign in, which leads you open and what you mark them as. We use this to run the service and to make your list sharper.

Where the leads come from

Leads are public posts and comments that people wrote on social platforms and forums. We show what they wrote and always link back to the original, so you can see it in context. We don't collect private messages or anything behind a login.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data, and we don't message anyone on your behalf.

Who helps us run Hotleads

We use a small number of providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Resend sends our emails, such as your morning list, account verification and password resets.
  • Vercel hosts the website and app.
  • Neon hosts our database.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and everything you added at any time. Email hello@hotleads.cx from the address on your account and we will take care of it.

If you wrote a post that appears as a lead and want it removed from Hotleads, email us with a link to it and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
